If at all possible, our company policy is to try and match the OEM warranty period in the United States for the same part or piece of equipment.
Be wary of companies offering warranties that seem too good to be true. “If is seems too good to be true, it probably is”.
Reputable companies offer reasonable warranty periods with competitively priced products.
Warranties
Whenever possible, Priority Medical matches the OEM warranty period in the United States for the same part or piece of equipment. Our goal is to give you peace of mind by ensuring your purchase is backed by a fair and reliable warranty.
Be cautious of companies advertising unusually long warranties paired with low prices. As the saying goes: if it seems too good to be true, it probably is. Reputable providers offer reasonable warranty terms that align with the quality and value of their products.
Too many used ultrasound dealers, “refurbished” or “reconditioned” means simply painting the ultrasound console or just wiping it down.
We rigorously recondition or refurbish our equipment to the highest standards. While we paint and touch-up our systems as necessary, we pay critical attention to testing and re-testing the integrity of the components comprising the system.
If a particular machine has a known “high failure” item, be assured that it is replaced with a new or reconditioned part. If an upgrade is available for a system that is known to enhance its’ performance or reliability, this is also done.
This effort is to ensure that you have the best system possible, not only in appearance, but in functionality as well. Any part that is remotely questionable is repaired or replaced prior to shipment.
Each probe and transducer that we sell goes through the same rigorous testing process.
Please note: If we are selling a machine or transducer that has not been reconditioned due to age, lack of available cosmetic components, or any other reason, we will advise you from the very beginning of the exact condition of that particular product.
For example, there are some ultrasound probes that simply can not be completely refurbished cosmetically.
Please know that we do everything in our power to make these probes look as good as possible and will not offer them for sale if we are not certain you are fully aware of their exact condition.
Again, you will be advised in advance if this is the case. We will never attempt to deceive you or use questionable sales techniques just to make a sale.
Our goal is to provide you with the best possible buying experience and that begins with being forthright and honest in every aspect of what we do.
On our website you will see varied interspersed examples of the actual condition of the systems that we sell. In some cases, due to different warehouse locations, we use standard or generic photos.
We are always glad to provide you with photos of exact piece of equipment you are purchasing.
If you have had a less than satisfactory experience with another company when purchasing used, reconditioned, or refurbished equipment, rest assured you will not be disappointed with our products or service.
We have run an ethical, honest company for 30 years and pride ourselves in providing you with the finest ultrasound equipment in the secondary ultrasound marketplace.
What does “refurbished” or “reconditioned” mean at Priority Medical?
At many used ultrasound dealers, “refurbished” can mean little more than a wiped-down or freshly painted console. At Priority Medical, it means much more.
We rigorously recondition every system to the highest standards:
Comprehensive testing – Each component is tested and re-tested for performance and reliability.
Critical upgrades – Known “high-failure” parts are replaced, and system upgrades are applied whenever available.
Cosmetic care – Systems are cleaned and touched up as needed, but functionality always comes first.
Probes & transducers – Every unit undergoes the same thorough inspection and testing process.
If a machine or part cannot be fully refurbished—due to age, cosmetic limitations, or unavailable components—we will clearly advise you upfront about its exact condition. We never misrepresent a product, and we never use questionable sales tactics just to close a deal.
Our goal is simple: to give you the best possible buying experience with equipment that performs as well as it looks. With over 30 years in business, we’ve built our reputation on honesty, integrity, and delivering the highest-quality ultrasound systems in the secondary market.
We’re also glad to provide actual photos of the exact equipment you’re purchasing—just ask.

After speaking with clients worldwide, it seems clear that there are varying definitions of what is considered to be a portable ultrasound system.
To keep things simple and for purposes of clarification, we consider a portable system to be one that a single person can carry by hand from one location to another. This usually limits these systems to a maximum weight of approximately 60 pounds. Most portable machines these days are laptop style systems.
Nearly all other systems are considered to be movable or roll-able by means of caster wheels built into the bottom of the console. The size and weight of these units can vary tremendously which, in the case of the largest systems, may affect the ability to roll them easily from one room to another.
Some models are designated “desktop” systems designed to be placed on the office counter or table. These models can also be put on ultrasound carts to make them more easily movable.
The reason we are posting this FAQ is because often we get requests for “portable” systems when actually a small “roll-about” system will work fine.
If in doubt, please let us know and we will be happy to help you pick a unit best suited for your needs.
What qualifies as a “portable” ultrasound system?
We’ve found that “portable” can mean different things to different people, so here’s how we define it for clarity:
Portable systems – Lightweight enough for one person to carry by hand (usually under ~60 lbs). Most modern portable units are laptop-style.
Rollable/movable systems – Larger console units with caster wheels. Sizes vary, and very large models may be harder to move between rooms.
Desktop systems – Compact models designed for placement on a table or counter, often mounted on carts for easier mobility.
Many customers who ask for “portable” systems actually find that a small rollable system meets their needs just as well.
If you’re unsure which option is right for your facility, our team will gladly help match you with the system best suited for your workflow and budget.

No. Although many ultrasound probes can be repaired, each needs to be evaluated individually.
There are common problems with certain types of probes but we have found that only through a thorough evaluation can the exact nature of the problem be assessed.
There are also situations where a probe has multiple “problems” that are only discovered once the initial problem is fixed.
However, we do offer standard repair costs on many makes and models.
Can all ultrasound probes be repaired?
Not always. While many probes can be repaired, each one must be evaluated individually to determine the exact issue. Some models have common failure points, but in many cases, additional problems are only discovered during the repair process.
That said, we do provide standard repair pricing for many popular makes and models, giving you clear expectations upfront whenever possible.
